Power BI across Workspaces

Ana now works with Power BI. Starting today, teams can query the models without rebuilding everything in a warehouse.

But a single workspace was never the point. Real questions don't fit inside one. Revenue lives in Finance, headcount in Ops, product usage somewhere else — and what you actually want to know usually spans all three. So we're launching chats that reach across every workspace at once, run on your governed models, and can live inside Power BI itself.

One question, every workspace

Say you want revenue per employee for Q3. Your revenue model sits in one workspace, headcount in another. That’s normally two questions to ask in two different workspaces. Now you ask Ana once. It figures out which models it needs, pulls revenue from one and headcount from the other, and does the division for you, returning a single answer.

On the models you already trust

Every question runs against the Power BI model your team built. Ana uses your measures and definitions instead of creating its own. When a number comes from your model, it's your model's number. When an answer draws on more than one workspace, Ana pulls each input from those same models.

That includes security. When each person connects their own Power BI account, every query runs under their identity — so they see exactly what they're permitted to see, and nothing more. Connecting Ana doesn't loosen the controls you've already set.

Where your data already lives

Most BI tools want you inside their walls. Ana meets your data where it is: when you'd rather not leave Power BI, it runs as a native panel right inside your report, next to the charts you're already looking at.
