GPT-6.1 Terra, OpenAI's newest Terra model, is now available in Ana. It brings stronger visual reasoning and computer use at half the standard input and output token prices of GPT-6.1 Sol.
OpenAI's API prices start at $1 per million input tokens, $0.05 per million cached input tokens, and $5 per million output tokens. Terra supports a 1.05 million token context window and adjustable reasoning effort. Requests above 272,000 input tokens carry higher rates, so the headline prices do not apply across the full window.
What this means for data work
Analytics work rarely starts and ends in the warehouse. Someone brings a dashboard screenshot, a PDF, or a chart they need explained. Terra’s visual understanding and writing could help Ana work with those inputs and turn the analysis into a clear report.
Lower prices could also make recurring reports cheaper to run, especially when each run reuses the same documents and business context.
Enabling Access
Go to Settings > Models and enable GPT-6.1 Terra for your organization. Then open a new thread and select it from the model picker.
Full model configuration options are in our documentation.
