Can Ana use filterByFormula?

Yes. Ana can construct Airtable filterByFormula expressions to perform server-side filtering, which is much more efficient than pulling entire bases into memory. The connector also handles pagination automatically for tables larger than the API page size.

Does Ana read linked records?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Linked record fields resolve to record IDs, and Ana can automatically follow the links to fetch related records from other tables. This lets you ask questions that span multiple tables in a base without manual joins.

How are Airtable tokens secured?

Personal access tokens and OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest in TextQL's credential vault. When Ana makes a request, tokens are injected by our egress proxy at the network layer. Ana's Python sandbox only sees a helper function — never the raw token.

Can I scope access to specific bases?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When creating an Airtable personal access token, you choose exactly which bases and scopes it has access to. TextQL honors whatever limits you set on the token, and admins can whitelist only the bases they want Ana to reach.

Is Airtable data cached?

Accepted Answer

By default, Ana fetches live data per question so answers reflect the current state of your bases. Optional short-lived session caching can be enabled to speed up multi-step analyses without returning stale results beyond the current session.
