Ana Now Connects to SAP HANA and HANA Cloud

Ana should work wherever your data lives. SAP or otherwise.

For a business analyst at a large enterprise, getting an answer out of SAP often means submitting a data request, waiting in line behind dozens of others, and receiving a spreadsheet days later. The data is there. The question is clear. Ana closes the gap.

Starting today, that's true for SAP HANA.

Connect Ana to your SAP HANA or SAP HANA Cloud instance and ask questions in plain English. No SQL. No ticket. No waiting.

The Foundation of SAP Data

SAP HANA is the database layer where most SAP data lives. Every transaction and operational record across procurement, supply chain, finance, and inventory. SAP has been building Business Data Cloud (BDC) on top of it as the central layer for its AI strategy: a governed foundation where business semantics are managed so that every application and agent draws from the same trusted source. Ana connects to both.

For organizations already on BDC, Ana works with it as the context layer it was designed to be. For those still operating on HANA directly, which is most SAP customers today, Ana connects without any migration required.

Either way, your SAP data becomes accessible to the rest of your business. Ana can pull from HANA or HANA Cloud in the same workflow as any other connected source: your data warehouse, your CRM, whatever else is in your stack.

What This Unlocks

Analytics. Any question a business team would normally route through a data analyst because they couldn't access SAP themselves. Ana answers it against live HANA data, in plain language.

Migrations. For teams moving toward BDC, Ana connects to both. Start using it against HANA now and carry it forward once the migration is complete.

Where We're Headed

Ana is built to work across the entire SAP ecosystem, not just the modern layers. Near-term, we're expanding integrations across BDC, S/4HANA, and BTP (Business Technology Platform). Further out, we're building toward legacy environments like BW (Business Warehouse) and ECC (ERP Central Component) — environments that hold decades of data and rarely get modern tooling.

The goal is for Ana to be the analytical interface that works across SAP and non-SAP data alike, outside of any single platform, wherever your data actually lives.

The SAP HANA connector is rolling out today as a first-class connector. Find it newly added to the Connectors page.
